Ground CREW (Creating a Resilient Environmental Workforce)

The Ground CREW is a workforce development program for young adults ages 18 to 25. The participants are trained in Green Infrastructure installation and maintenance while working on residential and commercial projects. They learn hard and soft work skills. The Ground CREW receive hands on job training. GWNO aims to help homeowners, communities and businesses improve and maintain green spaces by providing professionally skilled crews, while creating a trained green workforce.

The Ground CREW is an environmental stewardship, landscape design-build, and maintenance service. Ground CREW members work part time, receiving valuable, paid, hands-on experience, while also participating in structured, life-skills and job preparedness training provided by program partners. The program also coordinates job placement assistance for participants looking for full-time, permanent employment.
